Saturday 13th June 2026 - Gala Day

12pm - The Gala procession will depart from the Victoria Road East entrance of King Georges Playing Fields

12:15pm Approx. -Thornton Village

12:30pm Approx. - Spar on Lawsons Road

12:45pm Approx. - Trunnah Road/ Fleetwood Road North Junction

1pm Approx. - Gardeners Arms on Fleetwood Road North

1:15pm Approx. - The procession will return to King Georges Playing Fields via the entrance next to Seniors Fish and chips

All times are approximate, so please arrive to watch the procession in good time

Hoisting of the Gala Flag

11am - Flower laying and Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph

11:15am - Judging of parade entries on King Georges Playing Fields

12pm - Parade will set off from King Georges Playing Fields

12pm - The Funfair and Stalls will open on King Georges Playing Fields

1pm/1:30pm - The parade will return to King Georges Playing Fields

1pm-2:15pm - Entertainment on King Georges Playing Fields

2:15pm - Our trophies will be presented to the winners of our Gala Parade on King Georges Playing Fields in the main arena

2:30pm- Our Crowning Ceremony & trophies will be awarded to our parade winners on King Georges Playing Fields

5pm - Stalls & entertainment will end on the Gala Field
